Ravindra Chavan Issues Key Warning to BJP Leaders Over Disha Salian Case
BJP Maharashtra president Ravindra Chavan has warned party leaders against speaking on the Disha Salian case without evidence, as the matter returns to public discussion following an FIR.
Chavan said that no one should comment on any issue unless they are fully aware of the facts and have complete and credible evidence. He stressed that speaking without evidence on any subject is not appropriate.
Ravindra Chavan expressed his position on the Disha Salian case while speaking to ABP Majha. Chavan had visited ABP Majha for Ganpati darshan, during which he also commented on various issues.
Ravindra Chavan said, “Actually, we all need to remember one thing. Every worker, office-bearer and everyone should understand what we should say and what we should convey. We should never speak in the absence of evidence. In all these matters, unless we completely know something or have complete and credible evidence regarding it, it should not be spoken about.”
Disha Salian was the manager of actor Sushant Singh Rajput. She died after falling from the 12th floor on June 8, 2019. Actor Sushant Singh Rajput also died by suicide on June 14, 2019.
Following an order of the Bombay High Court, an FIR has been registered in the Disha Salian death case based on a complaint filed by Disha Salian’s father, Satish Salian. No one has been named as an accused in the FIR. The FIR mentions Uddhav Thackeray, Aaditya Thackeray, Dino Morea, Rohan Rai, Sooraj Pancholi, Rhea Chakraborty, Showik Chakraborty, Sachin Waze, Param Bir Singh and others.
Meanwhile, Aaditya Thackeray had clarified his position on the Disha Salian case a few days ago. He said that he had never met Disha Salian and had no acquaintance with her.
Aaditya Thackeray had said that for the past six years, some people had been deliberately attempting to link his name to the unfortunate incident for political purposes, personal animosity and character assassination, despite there being no evidence or connection between him and the incident.
With the Disha Salian case once again under discussion, Ravindra Chavan’s directive to BJP leaders and office-bearers has placed emphasis on speaking only on the basis of complete and credible evidence.
